In its conception, founder Jacques Duyver drew on his extensive experience in establishing small businesses into larger businesses. Jacques is experienced in buying same sector companies and centralizing services and process and then marketing these entities under one strong brand image to create huge shareholder value for these previously separate entities.  One of Jacques core philisophies is partnership.

Jacques firmly believes that, by carefully choosing the very best people one can form a business which could become a leader in the chosen field. The experience and expertise of our partners and affiliates allow us comprehensively to understand the commercial and financial issues that are needed.

Boos private equity's investment approach relies on thoughtful analysis of industry sub-sectors to identify favourable forces at work. Boost’s targets attractive small business models in areas which we fundamentally understand. Our approach is determinedly proactive. We mine for investment deals and opportunities in sectors where we have relevant transactional and operational expertise. We have our origins in London, Europe, and with offices in South Africa we are able to invest in opportunities in Europe & Southern Africa.

We believe in active partnerships. Our operational emphasis is on collaborative, active involvement with our portfolio companies. The partner’s strategic, financial and operational expertise materially enhances the value of every investment. We generally take a majority shareholding, in cases where we have a minority position we seek contractual rights which allow us to influence matters of strategic significance. We want our partners to look upon us as the most valued business relationship they have.
